Darren, Rachele and Ben (Voices), attended the National Expert Citizens Conference graciously hosted by Opportunity Nottingham. The day consisted of a play around the practice of frontline staff. With a discussion on best practice, effective training to improve practice, and the constraints put on frontline staff.

This was followed by a talk on the future of the Chair position of the NECC. Which ended in speeches and a vote for the new Chair. This resulted in the election of Dorian from Independent Futures Bristol. Dorian was elected with a charismatic speech laying out his hopes of using the position to facilitate discussions, where every member of the group would be given a voice.

All groups then updated the group on their specific progress, and the meeting was closed with the agenda for the next meeting.  We look forward to the next meeting and wish to congratulate Dorian on his new role as Chair of the National Expert Citizen Conference.
